What is the meaning of "ero" in Japanese?

Ero is short form of Eros (エロス).

This word appeared late in Japan. It seemed エロスcould only be read in academic writings. People have invented a hybrid adjective Eroi (エロい), denoting erotic. Ir became popular among civil.

Thus エロ can be noun and adjective.

Why is Luigi Mangjone being seen as courageous if he was too cowardly to look his victim in the eyes? Don't Hollywood heroes look their victims in the eyes when shooting/stabbing/choking them?
